Featherstone

24 x 36" Gallery wrapped 1 1/2" canvas, acrylic, mixed media and gold leaf

This piece is named after the flamingo in Gnomeo and Juliet - the kids movie where there's a lonely and lost flamingo looking for his mate.  The name Featherstone is named after the man who invented the iconic pink plastic flamingo lawn ornaments.  I love using the gold leaf in the backgrounds when it works properly because it can be very sticky and finicky.
